US citizens: How are those strange sex regulations in the US actually enforced?

I've just read an answer on here regarding weird sex laws in the USA (oral sex being illegal in 18 states etc.). I was amazed at their absurdity, of course, but I still don't understand how it is possible to enforce such laws. I mean, how do they find out whether you committed one of those "sex crimes"? What do they do, plant hidden cameras in people's bedrooms? I imagine that those laws are probably broken on a regular basis without anybody finding out, but in those cases when it is found out, how does it happen? Sounds pretty Orwellian to me.

I'm currently in my 14th year of a 25 year prison term for violating the regulation. Somebody always finds out, and you go away for a long time. (just kidding)
